Having succumbed to the covid-19 trauma which landed me in Mulago hospital, the doctors request and my family’s prayer of enrolling me to something that would keep me busy and not focus more on the pandemic finally came to pass on the 18th/May/2020.

I walk up a bit late, with my medication being the first priority, then I prepared for the meeting. By 10:30am I was already trying to connect so as to get used to zoom. Surprisingly when the long awaited hour arrived, I couldn’t connect, I tried a couple of times and finally I was able to join the meeting as a single invitee, little did u know that my lovely family also attended, I found a number of participants, everyone was given an opportunity to talk about themselves, so my turn came, I was called out by a tutor Daniel,my name is Loyce Nabasirye, I hold a bachelors in information system, am so passionate about programming and am so glad to be part of this were my words.

The tutors continued to give us more details about the course, I kept noting down important points just for review and before the meeting ended, my battery shutdown. I was deeply hurt but had to keep a smile on my face just for the people who knew nothing about programming but sacrificed their time to physically be with me in the meeting monitoring my health, with a smiley face, I lied to them that the meeting had ended . We all left happily and since then, my health has never deteriorated.

That very day, the time I would have spent in bed, I used it to get well conversant with the different applications we were given, signup accounts on different platforms and as well going through the course curriculum at outboxedu.teachable. Special thanks to Outbox EDU for giving me an opportunity to pursue my longtime desired course, fellow students for being able to attend, if you had failed of course the tutors wouldn’t have presented, and lastly my lovely family that has always been there for me.
